Partner Veterinary Expands Services in Richmond, Virginia

Richmond, VA (October 17, 2022) —Construction is underway to bring additional care to pet families to Richmond, Virginia. Partner Veterinary is proud to announce that anew Emergency & Specialty Center will open in 2023.

Located at 1616 Three Chopt Road in Henrico, Virginia, the 20,000-square-foot facility will offer emergency and specialty services to supplement the existing Urgent Care Center that opened in early 2022, located at 6506 West Broad St in Richmond.

Partner Veterinary President Christine Stafford saw a need for expanded services to provide care. “The additional site is a great fit for us and the community. We are thrilled to answer the call to help pet families by offering additional services,” Stafford shared. This state-of-the-art facility will create new opportunities for Veterinary Specialists, ER Doctors, Care Advocates, and Nursing Support. “We are dedicated to expanding our footprint in an area that is currently underserved while attracting talented teammates just as committed to the community as we are,” she said.

The new location will provide two distinct types of services. 24-hour Emergency Care will be offered for cases such as acute trauma, heatstroke, or weakness. The Specialty Care arm of the practice provides critical care, internal medicine, neurology, medical oncology, surgery, and in-house MRI and CT.

CEO Katie Brooks is passionate about affecting positive changes in her profession and looks forward to Partner Veterinary’s additional services. “I started in this industry to heal pets. I stay in it to support people and provide pet families with top-notch care while reimagining what a team-first approach and true life balance look like.” Brooks looks forward to continuing to connect with other local caregivers. “It’s important that we build strong partnerships with referring primary care veterinarians so they know they can trust us to provide continuity of care for Richmond-area pet families,” she added.
