Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Armstrong completed her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Connecticut. She went on to obtain her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University, where she became involved in neurology research focused on canine caudal cervical spondylomyelopathy.

She completed a rotating internship at the University of Georgia and spent time at a specialty neurology practice in New Mexico before returning to Georgia to complete a specialty internship in Emergency and Critical Care. This was followed by a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Georgia after which she became board certified in 2021.

Dr. Armstrong’s interests within the specialty include neurologic emergencies, autoimmune inflammatory conditions, and neuroimaging
