outpatient ultrasound – frederick

Our outpatient ultrasound service examines your pet’s internal organs, helping diagnose conditions like pancreatitis, enlarged organs, stones, masses, and intestinal problems. ghly-trained and qualified sonographers  perform the ultrasound studies, and a board-certified veterinary radiologist or boarded specialist interprets the results within 24 hours. Ultrasound of the abdomen is an outpatient service only and does not establish a patient-doctor relationship at Partner Veterinary. 

Cost and Process:

  • Fee: $750 (includes comprehensive scan and radiologist interpretation)
  • Additional costs may apply for sedation if needed
  • STAT readings available for extra fee

Preparing Your Pet:

  • Fast adult pets for 12 hours before the exam
  • Pets under 6 months: fast for 6 hours
  • Drop-off time: 10am (specific appointment times available upon request)

  • Please provide all medical records, bloodwork, and X-rays

Important Notes:

  • This is an outpatient service only
  • Your primary vet receives and discusses results with you
  • Payment is due at discharge
  • Written consent required for shaving and possible sedation
