Know Before You Go

At Partner Veterinary we believe in providing you with information to try to ease the stress during an unforeseen emergency with your pet.

You can’t predict an emergency, but you can plan for one. Here are the 5 things you can do …

1. Pre-register You and Your Pets Online

Pre-registering with Partner Veterinary helps expedite the check-in process should an emergency strike. It’s easy, it’s free, and it will be one less thing for you to worry about if your pet is facing a medical emergency.

2. Keep Recent Bloodwork and Medical History On-Hand

Bloodwork taken within the last 6 months gives insight into your pet’s health and could save us from needing to run it again. Ask your veterinarian for copies of your pet’s most recent paperwork and have it in a file ready to go in case of an emergency. It could save precious time and money.

3. Call Before You Arrive

Emergencies can raise a lot of questions. Call us. We can help determine how urgent your pet’s needs are using our triage process. Knowing what to expect before you walk through our doors helps our team provide the appropriate level of care for your pet.

4. Understand Your Financial Options

Being financially prepared before emergencies strike is key. We recommend getting pre-approved for a financial option, such as CareCredit, Wells Fargo, or Scratch Pay. Having an option arranged ahead of time gives you peace of mind in the event of an emergency.

5. Consider Pet Insurance

Prior to any emergency, consider getting pet insurance. Having your pet insured can help alleviate some of the cost of emergencies and specialty care needs. Not sure where to begin? Here are a few options we like: Nationwide, Trupanion, and Embrace.
