Learning and Development Trailblazer

Christine Weaver, BS, LVT, VTS (Neurology) spearheads the Knowledge and Learning Department. She is incredibly passionate about the growth of all members of the clinical veterinary team, with the aim of developing self-efficacy and meaning in the veterinary professional’s career through mentorship and coaching, in addition to the support for clinical development.

She has spent over 20 years working in the veterinary industry, starting in primary care medicine before moving to specialty medicine, working in veterinary neurology. She obtained her VTS in Neurology in 2012 and began her journey in training as a Training Coordinator at Bush Veterinary Neurology Service in 2017. She further honed and broadened her skills in training, learning, and development when she joined Compassion-First’s Veterinary Nursing Development department in 2021. As the corporate environment continued to change, she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in various learning and development roles including additional training frameworks, RACE, and mentorship programs. She is also a national presenter on veterinary medical topics and has been a co-author in published veterinary scientific literature and textbooks.

In addition to her experience and education in veterinary medicine, Christine has a Bachelor’s in Biobehavioral Health and will complete her certification as a certified personal trainer (CPT) in 2024. With this additional education, she will be integrating whole-person wellness as part of the Partner training and development programs and the overall culture of Partner.

Christine, in collaboration with Heather, will be delivering hands-on training, educational and mentorship programs, and personal tutoring to our teams in Frederick and Richmond.
