Partner Veterinary to Bring State-of-the-Art Pet Care and New Jobs to Frederick, Maryland

Frederick, MD – November 7, 2022: Compassionate, state-of-the-art urgent, emergency, and specialty care for pet families is coming to Frederick, Maryland.

Helmed by a reputable team of female entrepreneurs, Partner Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (PVESC) is thrilled to announce plans for its newest location, opening at the Frederick Crossing shopping plaza. Located at 7330 Guilford Drive in the former A.C. Moore location, the 20,000-square-foot facility provides support to an economically growing market. PVESC anticipates hiring over 70 team members to help pets and their families receive 24-hour emergency services and related urgent and specialty care access.

With Frederick County experiencing years of rapid growth, PVESC President and Frederick local, Christine Stafford, recognized a need for a variety of enhanced pet care options when primary veterinary offices are closed or unavailable. “The new location is a great fit for us and the community. New businesses opening their doors is a positive sign of economic growth, and we are honored to be a part of the Frederick community in this capacity,” Stafford shared. The facility will create full- and part-time positions, including Veterinary Specialists, ER Doctors, Care Advocates, and Nursing Support. “We are dedicated to expanding our footprint in the area that is currently underserved while attracting talented teammates who are as committed to the community as we are,” she said.

With construction soon underway, the location is expected to be ready by spring 2023 and will offer three tiers of services under one roof. Urgent Care sees pets suffering from issues like allergic reactions, vomiting, or eye and skin irritation. Emergency Care will be offered for cases such as acute trauma, heatstroke, or weakness. The Specialty Care arm of the practice provides internal medicine, neurology, medical oncology, surgery, and in-house MRI and CT.

PVESC CEO Katie Brooks is dedicated to affecting positive changes in her profession and looks forward to Partner Veterinary immersing itself in the Frederick community. “I started in this industry to heal pets. I stay in it to support people and provide pet families with top-notch care, all while reimagining what a team-first approach and true life balance look like within my profession.” Brooks is looking forward to bringing this approach to Frederick as well as connecting with other local caregivers. “It’s important to us that we build strong partnerships with primary care veterinarians so they know they can trust us to provide continuity of care for Frederick-area pet families,” she added.
