Daniel Comyn, DVM

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Comyn grew up on a farm in Madison County, Virginia. He completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, graduating with a degree in Diary Science in 2018. Prior to attending veterinary school, he lived and worked on a dairy farm on the South Island of New Zealand.  

Dr. Comyn graduated from Virginia Maryland CVM in 2025 and is currently working as a rotating intern with Partner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty in Richmond. His interests include cardiology and cardiac emergencies, toxicology, and ICU patient management. He especially enjoys helping pets and their owners through difficult diseases in the ICU and managing their cases as they recover and progress to discharge.  

When at the hospital, Dr. Comyn works with his father’s large animal veterinary practice in his hometown doing large animal ambulatory medicine.
