CEO
Katie Brooks is an accomplished leader in the veterinary profession, known for her ability to build high-performing organizations grounded in strong culture and purpose. She began her career as a licensed veterinary technician and steadily advanced into executive leadership, bringing a uniquely practical and people-centered perspective to every role she has held.
Katie served as Chief Executive Officer of CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets from 2005 to 2022, later transitioning to Chief Development Officer. During her tenure, she led the transformation of a six-doctor practice into the world’s largest veterinary cardiology organization, widely recognized for both its clinical excellence and exceptional workplace culture.
In 2021, Katie co-founded Partner Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centers with a mission to reimagine the employee experience in emergency and specialty veterinary medicine. She currently serves as Chief Executive Officer, where she continues to champion sustainable growth, team well-being, and innovative leadership practices.
A passionate advocate for people development, Katie is deeply committed to mentoring leaders within and beyond the veterinary field. She focuses on helping individuals and organizations build meaningful careers, strengthen culture, and achieve long-term success.
Katie lives in Leesburg with her husband Daniel and their blended family of five. Their home is shared with two yellow Labradors, Bronn and Ozzy, an Aruban Cunucu named Reba, and a Coconut Retriever named Benito. Outside of work, Katie enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and rescuing and fostering island dogs.
