Leah Simons, DVM

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Simons attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2014. Following graduation she completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. She moved to Richmond in 2015 in pursuit of new job opportunities and less cold weather. Since that time she has worked in both emergency medicine and general practice and spent the past several years traveling throughout the state as a relief emergency veterinarian. Dr. Simons enjoys the variety and fast pace of emergency medicine and hopes to use her expertise to help owners and pets during their most difficult times. She especially loves working with cats and strives to make all of her patients emergency visits as comfortable as possible.

In her free time, Dr. Simons enjoys traveling, baking, reading, and spending time with her partner and their three cats: Magellan, Samwise, and Coquito.
