Summer Scout E. Ford, VMD, DACVECC-SA
Criticalist
Dr. Ford earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and went on to complete a residency in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA. She was drawn to ECC early in her education for the opportunity to care for patients facing challenging prognoses, navigating the complexities of intensive medicine, and the reward of seeing those patients return home to their families. Her clinical interests include respiratory physiology and mechanical ventilation, sepsis, and microcirculation.
Dr. Ford joined Partner to return home to Maryland and be closer to her family, while becoming part of a hospital that shares her commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine.
Outside of the hospital, she enjoys training in Muay Thai and spending time outdoors with her dogs.
