Her initiative, adaptability, and commitment to high-quality patient care truly reflect the standard we strive for every day. Thank you, Karla!

  • Training and Learning updates:
    • Medical Math Training has been pushed out on VetBloom.  Completion of this training is required for all veterinary technicians and veterinary technician students. Please note the following:
      • Team members are permitted to work together on the medical math course, but each must complete their own in VetBloom.
      • All of the notes provided by Heather Carter, Deann Diehl and Christine Weaver are downloadable and team members are encouraged to attempt practice problems in the notes prior to completing the online quizzes.
      • Christine Weaver will be in hospital as usual and will be available for all persons looking for 1:1 guidance and tutoring. If you are interested, please reach out to Christine directly so she will be sure to be available when you are on shift.
      • Any questions or assistance needed to access the material on VetBloom, please reach out to Christine Weaver.
      • Due date:  Monday, March 9

  • Internal Medicine Schedule:
    • Dr. Lester will be out of the office on Friday, 2/20. Normal operations will resume on Monday, 2/23.
    • Kaylyn Wolford will be in the hospital to perform ultrasounds on Friday (2/20), starting at 11 AM.

  • Facilities Updates:
    • We do not need to continue to do thirty minute fire watch rounds. Per the property manager, the alarm is in “loop mode” so if a fire is to start, the alarms will still sound. If the alarm panel reads “main flow” it needs to be silenced and we do not need to evacuate.
    • X-ray inspection has been scheduled for 2/27 at 12pm. Each machine will take about an hour to inspect and will not be available for use at that time.
    • The red marks in the floor will also be addressed on 2/27.
    • Rachel will not be in the office or available by phone on Monday, 2/16. She will be working remote on Tuesday and will be available by phone.

  • Welcomes:
    • 2.16 – McKayla Rancourt, Veterinary Assistant, ER (night shift)
  • Goodbyes:  None
  • Transitions:  None

Thank you for all you do!
