Holly Phelps, DVM, Diplomate ACVS-SA
Dr. Phelps worked for several years in private specialty practice prior to earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.
Afterwards, she completed internships with Georgia Veterinary Specialists and the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Phelps then entered a surgical residency program in Boston, Massachusetts, before moving to St. Louis, Missouri, where she completed her residency training at Midwest Veterinary Referral Center in 2012.
Dr. Phelps’ clinical area of interest includes a wide array of minimally invasive surgical procedures, as well as surgical oncology and complex fracture repair. Additionally, she has a strong interest in treating brachycephalic airway disease and is passionate about ensuring her patient’s comfort through multimodal anesthesia and analgesia, as well as improving quality of life and achieving a successful return to function following surgery.
In her spare time, Dr. Phelps enjoys spending time with her family, their crazy brood of dogs and farm animals, and traveling for her son’s hockey throughout the year.
